Candidate Readiness Guide

FOR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS

Candidate Readiness Guide

Use this guide to prepare for healthcare staffing opportunities and assignment onboarding with Charisma SPD. Requirements vary by role, facility, and assignment, so always follow the instructions provided for your specific placement.

1. Keep Your Professional Information Current

Make sure your application accurately reflects your recent experience, specialty, credentials, availability, preferred schedule, and assignment preferences. Let the staffing team know when important information changes.

2. Prepare Credentialing Documents

Depending on the role and client, you may be asked for professional licenses or certifications, identification and employment documents, health or immunization records, training records, and facility-specific credentialing items. Submit only through the secure workflow provided by the staffing team.

3. Complete Assigned Training

Complete all training assigned to your placement by the due date. Depending on the assignment, this may include Fire Safety & Emergency Codes, Hazard Communication (HazCom) & SDS, PPE, Exposure & Incident Reporting, Bloodborne Pathogens, Infection Prevention, HIPAA/Confidentiality, and Workplace Harassment & Discrimination.

4. Confirm Your Assignment Details

Before your first day, review the facility, department, shift, schedule, start date, reporting instructions, assignment contact, dress or uniform expectations, and any facility-specific onboarding directions provided to you. Ask questions before the start date if anything is unclear.

5. Be Ready for Timekeeping

Placed employees submit weekly timesheets through the Staff Portal. Complete your time record accurately and on time. Your authorized supervisor uses the supervisor approval workflow before approved time moves into the internal payroll and billing process.

6. Professional & Privacy Expectations

Arrive prepared and on time, follow facility policies and assignment instructions, maintain professional communication, and protect confidential information. Do not submit patient information or protected health information through public staffing forms. Follow the assignment-specific reporting process for incidents, exposures, safety concerns, or workplace issues.

Ready for the Next Step?

Candidates can submit an application for consideration. Placed staff should use the Staff Portal for onboarding, training, timesheets, and assignment support.
