Charisma SPD Certification & Staffing is building our network of certified surgical technologists for per diem and contract assignments in hospital operating rooms and ambulatory surgery centers across New York State.

Prepare the operating room, sterile field, instruments, supplies and equipment before each case; perform surgical counts and maintain sterile technique throughout the procedure; anticipate the needs of the surgical team and pass instruments, sutures and supplies; handle specimens according to facility policy; assist with room turnover and point-of-use instrument care for transport to sterile processing; follow facility policies, infection-prevention standards and role-specific competency requirements.

Current surgical technologist certification; current BLS; ability to meet facility credentialing, health clearance and orientation requirements; perform only duties permitted by the assignment, facility policy, training and applicable scope of practice.

Current surgical technologist certification (NBSTSA CST or NCCT TS-C); current BLS.
